Infertility & Reproductive Health
Women often grow up with an unconscious reproductive story in their mind how they envision their journey towards motherhood unfolding. Oftentimes this story does not involve the unanticipated, common and wide range of reproductive barriers women face towards fertility or maintaining hormonal health. This psychological and physical deviation from women’s hopes and dreams can evoke invisible, and often unacknowledged, grief and profound distress.
In treatment, we help process and assimilate these losses while simultaneously equipping women with important self-advocacy and communication tools to navigate the complex medical system. Through a Cognitive-Behavioral therapeutic lens, we will also incorporate actionable strategies during and in-between sessions to manage and regulate the immense anxiety that accompanies women during this difficult stage in their lives.
